CNC Programmer

Job Summary :

• Program / Nest parts in software for various types of equipment Flat Lasers, Waterjet, Alltra 1
• Accurately draw parts from prints or reverse engineer sample parts
• Blueprint reading, layout, 2D and 3D reading and drawing.
• Ability to nest shapes.
• Read and understand mechanical drawings and prints.
• Create sketches, PDFs, and 3D CAD models using engineering applications such as SolidWork, AutoCAD or any other software.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience : 1.

Minimum Education Preferred :

High School Diploma or Equivalent 2.

Minimum Experience Preferred :

2 years of experience in CNC Programming & Nesting 3.

Skills Required :

i.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills ii.

Must be a self-starter, problem solver, and attention to detail. iii.

Knowledge of all carbon, stainless, and aluminum products iv.

Excellent computer skills (Excel and Word) v.

Strong time management vi.

Excellent math skills and attention to detail vii.

Ability to learn and understand the proper operation and use of different types of computer programs, i.e.

AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SigmaNest or any other CAD / CAM software.

Typical Working Conditions :

Indoor and outdoor work environment - Noise level may vary. - May be exposed to various chemical fumes and airborne particles. - Fast-paced environment subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity

Equipment Used : - Computer, keyboard, mouse, phone, printer / copier / scanner, measuring tape, calipers, scales, angle finder, PPE when necessary.
