We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Accountant or CPA to join our tax department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of business and individual clients providing expert-level tax preparation review and strategic planning.

  • Prepare and review complex federal state and local tax returns for individuals corporations partnerships and trusts.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial health.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research to ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations and stay current on changing tax legislation.
  • Manage client engagements from start to finish ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all deliverables.
  • Assist with federal and state tax audits and resolve tax-related notices.
  • This position may require financial preparation (compilations reviews and audits) in off tax-season months.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field. A Masters degree in Taxation is a plus.
  • Active CPA license is preferred but not required
  • 5 years of progressive tax accounting experience in a public accounting setting.
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software (Lacerte) and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Desktop / Online).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
