Hotel security guards ensure guest and staff safety by patrolling, monitoring surveillance, controlling access, responding to emergencies (medical, fire, disturbances), documenting incidents, and enforcing hotel rules, blending vigilant protection with hospitality to create a secure environment.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Patrolling & Surveillance :
Regularly patrol all areas (lobbies, hallways, parking, back-of-house) to identify hazards.
Monitor entrances / exits, verifying guests and staff.
Act as first responders for medical, fire, theft, or disturbance calls, providing first aid (CPR) and coordinating with emergency services.
Investigate and document all incidents (theft, injury, damage).
Assist guests with directions, lost items, and escorting them safely (e.g., to cars late at night).
Complete daily reports, logs, and maintain security records.
Key Skills Required
Vigilance & Observation, Emergency Response & First Aid, Communication & Interpersonal Skills, and Knowledge of Hotel Layout & Policies.
