Medical Laboratory Technician

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician to support our client’s medical facility based in Detroit, MI. This is a 3+ month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Detroit, MI Schedule: 5 x8s rotation 2:30pm - 11pm shift /5x8s rotation 10:30pm - 7am shift Pay Range: $46 - $48 per hour We are seeking a certified **Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)** for a 13-week contract assignment in Detroit, MI. This role involves performing laboratory procedures on blood and other body fluid specimens under the supervision of a laboratory technologist or supervisor. #### Key Responsibilities: * Perform laboratory testing using manual techniques and automated laboratory instruments * Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including Beckman Coulter systems (AU system experience preferred) * Process blood and body fluid specimens according to established protocols * Ensure accurate documentation using laboratory information systems * Maintain quality control and adhere to laboratory safety standards * Perform phlebotomy as needed #### Required Qualifications: * Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science * Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA) * Minimum 2–3 years of relevant laboratory experience * Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment (AU system preferred) * Strong technical knowledge and ability to perform laboratory functions independently * Effective communication skills Pride Global offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
