Patient Care Coordinator

Location : Charlotte, NC

Shift : Monday-Thursday, 7 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Compensation : $24-29 / hour plus benefits (Medical, Vision, 401k, Short-term and Long-term Disability)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support our restorative and hygiene teams. This role is key to keeping schedules full, educating patients about treatment plans, and facilitating a smooth, efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep the restorative schedule full and maintain a daily hygiene treatment schedule sheet.
• Maintain current unscheduled and ASAP (short-call) lists for patients seeking earlier appointments.
• Present and educate patients about their treatment plans after the dentist has diagnosed and reviewed their care.
• Promote Same Day Dentistry to every patient.
• Determine insurance benefits applicable to treatment plans and estimate patient co-pay amounts.
• Assist patients with dental insurance, present fees, and provide treatment cost estimates.
• Check out restorative patients not doing Same Day Dentistry, ensuring they have scheduled their next appointment.
• Verify all patient insurance coverage, including weekly coverage amounts.
• Maintain assigned email day and sheet day tasks.
• Review cases with the dentist and support the team with other office tasks, including answering phones and following up on unscheduled treatments.
