Student Nurse Extern I

Utilizing the nursing process, the Nurse Extern I is a nursing student who provides holistic nursing care under the direct supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Within 6 months of graduation, the Nurse Extern I is eligible for the Nurse Extern II / Clinical Partner role.

Must be currently enrolled in and attending an accredited nursing program.

Successfully completed second clinical rotation and / or if already a CNA, then one clinical rotation.

Above average grade point average as evidenced by school transcripts.

Two letters of recommendation from clinical instructor.

Successfully completed revelant theory and / or clinical courses for identified specialty areas.
