Associate Veterinarian

PAY: $90,000 – $110,000 per year (based on experience)

South Sioux Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality medical care while building strong relationships with clients and team members.

We practice high-quality, progressive veterinary medicine and offer digital x-rays, ultrasound, full in-house laboratory equipment, and computerized medical records (AVImark). We are a growing practice serving the Siouxland community and providing comprehensive spectrum of care options for our clients and patients.

Job Responsibilities

Provide high-quality medical care, diagnostics, and treatment for companion animals

Perform routine and complex medical exams, make diagnoses, and develop treatment plans

Perform soft-tissue surgeries and dental procedures, perform orthopedic surgeries based on experience

Prescribe medications and recommend preventative care protocols

Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care

Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and thorough medical records within AVImark

Stay current on best practices, medical advancements, and continuing education

Support a positive, team-oriented clinic culture

Education, Training & Licensure

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school

Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in Nebraska

New graduates welcome & encouraged, mentorship available

Skills & Competencies

Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills

Excellent client communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment

Compassionate, patient-focused approach to veterinary care

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Comfort with electronic medical records (AVImark experience preferred)
