Bilingual Medical Assistant Opportunity

Momentum Spine and Joint - Arlington is looking for a Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant supports a positive patient experience by performing administrative and specific clinical tasks under the direction of a physician or provider to ensure efficient operation of the clinic. The Medical Assistant functions as a member of the clinical team performing a supportive role in the delivery of patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

Essential Functions :

• Maintains patient charts and ensures completeness and accuracy of patients forms.
• Rooms patients consistent with clinic needs while determining and documenting chief complaint and reason for visit, vital signs, medication list, allergies, smoking history, and other information as required by clinic.
• Communicates and documents any status updates and changes regarding patient and treatment plan.
• Keeps patients informed of delays and progress of clinical appointments.
• Provides administrative support and performs routine clerical such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
• Ensures exam rooms are prepared and stocked with adequate medical supplies as well as cleaning rooms appropriately between patients.
• Maintains and responds to e-mails, telephone calls, and inquiries.
• Takes telephone messages and provides feedback and answers to patient / physician / pharmacy calls.
• Assists team and uses downtime efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
