Job Summary

This position is for a Project Manager who communicates directly with client / internal customer. Leads Hydro Engineering project team in the execution of the projects. Provides oversight of lead discipline engineers, project administrators, project controls / scheduler representatives, procurement representative and other team members assigned to the project.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams both external and internal during the early project development phase to better define project scope through conceptual engineering to final designs.
• Develop project initiation documents such as the Project Charter and Project Management Plan. Oversee the preparation, approval, and updates of Quality Management System documentation, securing Steering Committee approval where required.
• Direct a multidisciplinary project team, through all phases - from initiation to closeout - ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. Maintain and update project schedule as required.
• Monitor and manage project finances, including budgeting, monthly forecasting, cost control, and procurement activities such as purchase order creation to maintain each project's financial integrity.
• Take projects through the complete bid process with multiple external vendors. Develop and execute contracts with multiple vendors while fostering strong, collaborative relationships.
• Ensure all project activities adhere to applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Work with permitting teams to develop detailed permitting plans throughout the life of a project.
• Promote and maintain a safety-first mindset throughout all project phases, prioritizing the well-being of team members and stakeholders.
