Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform various treatments and special tests while documenting as required by company policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and understand patients' conditions.
- Assess patient needs and responses to the care provided.
- Employ sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.
- Maintain current NYS Registered Nurse license and certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Bring a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Exhibit knowledge of quality concepts and principles, effectively applying them to enhance departmental and patient care quality improvement.
