Machine Operator

2nd Shift : Monday - Thursday, 4pm - 2 : 15am

Extensive troubleshooting experience is key this is an advanced Machine Operator position and we need someone who understands how to recognize and address issues as they arise.

Job Description :

The Foam Operator Line 1 performs the function of machine operator as part of the door manufacturing process. Additionally, this role is responsible for daily reporting of production and scrap, routine tracking of machine and foam specifications, chemical calibrations and routine equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities :

• Performs the function of operating the automated foam system on the manufacturing line.
• Accurately completes daily production and scrap reporting.
• Completes daily checklists, recording information such as temperature settings and foam density checks, to ensure identification of issues that may prevent maximum machine productivity and product quality expectations.
• Performs calibration of the chemicals used within the process.
• Completes routine maintenance of equipment.
• Coordinates the work of associates performing operations that follow the foaming process.
• Communicates with the line leader performance to schedule, quality performance and any barriers to production or quality performance
• Able to compare actual measurements to specifications and determine if finished product is acceptable quality.
• Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format.
• Abe to read and interpret blueprints.
• Operates forklift, power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload, move or store materials.
• Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor, leads, and / or to safety.
• Achieves / performs daily targets and output of production.
• Meets quality standards for the line and follows work instructions, both written and spoken
• Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
• Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements, rules, and regulations.
• Must be able to work required overtime as needed.
• Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
