THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Marine Electronics Engineer with experience in System Architecture to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG)’s Ship Design Team in Washington, DC. An ideal candidate will have prior experience developing system architecture using DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and experience with IBM Rational System Architect.
Typical Responsibilities :
Location : Primarily onsite (at least 3 days / week) at USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC. Alternate telework schedules or work locations may be considered for especially qualified candidates.
Travel : Up to 10% travel to CONUS locations is anticipated for ship checks.
Typical Physical Activity : Primarily desk / computer work in an office environment. May involve : repetitive motion. Periodic visits to waterfront / shipboard environments. May involve : traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches) or vision.
Typical Pay Range : The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $85,000 – $100,000. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.
Eligibility for a SECRET Security Clearance is Required : This position requires eligibility for a Secret security clearance, to be obtained after hire. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; therefore, only current U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.
