- Unit: Home Health - Certs: BLS - Ratios: patient load is based on productivity, usually about 5 visits per day, admission is usually equivalent to two patients - EMR: Netsmart which was formerly known as Allscripts - Charge Nurse: No - Nurse Aides: No - Weekend Requirement: every 3rd weekend - when they work the weekend they can have a day off the week before and after if wanted - Holidays: they will work into holiday rotation - Scrub Color: any scrub color - Shifts: Hours are flexible, usually M-F 8am-5pm, with a 1 hr lunch - Floor specific orientation: 1.5 - 2 weeks - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: pt infusions, IV antibiotics, TPN, central lines, PICC lines, blood draws - Additional Notes: They may have to take call, call is usually required 2-4x per month for the weekdays, schedule is 5pm-8am. May have to do infusions for peds, if the visit is related to pediatric condition they will be sent to ER for evaluation, most/if not all of pt population is not peds.
