Commercial HVAC Estimator

POSITION PURPOSE

As a Commercial HVAC Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for Design / Build & Plan / Spec of Commercial HVAC construction projects. This includes calculations for AC & Heat loads, ventilation in a warehouse (exhaust fans & louvers), frost protection heaters and sizing of ductwork. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that all estimates align with project requirements and budgetary constraints. Additionally, you will collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure that all materials and labor costs are accurately estimated. This position is based out of Nashville.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review base building documents provided from the GC / Owner.
• Calculate AC & Heat loads for comfort cooling / heating in offices, warehouses, and restaurants.
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and timelines.
• Obtain competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Obtain submittals from vendors.
• Prepare and submit bids and proposals to clients.
• Evaluate and analyze project risks.
• Participate in design and project meetings and provide ongoing support to project teams, both in house and with the general contractors.
• Attending in person meetings at the GC’s office and / or virtual meetings via the computer.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and project-related documents.
