Job Title : Cloud Systems Admin

Location-Type : Hybrid (Herndon, VA – 3x / week onsite)

Start Date Is : 2 weeks from offer

Duration : 12-month contract

Compensation Range : $60 / hr – $70 / hr

Job Description :

Support the buildout and administration of cloud and system infrastructure for a secure facility in Herndon, VA.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

Create and document performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning procedures

Implement and support system availability, growth tracking, and SLA models

Maintain and design infrastructure diagrams, workflows, and change management processes

Conduct vulnerability management and monthly patching

Oversee configuration and servicing of server components and applications

Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and vendor coordination

Act as SME for infrastructure teams across cloud ops, cybersecurity, and system admin

Design functional infrastructure requirements and ensure end-user satisfaction

Assist in IL6 environment buildout

Requirements : Must-Haves :

5 years in enterprise system or cloud administration

4 years of strong PowerShell scripting experience

Windows firewall experience

Expert-level Azure and Windows administration (AD, DNS, GPO)

Ability to work onsite 3x / week in Herndon, VA

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance

Nice-to-Haves :

Bachelor's in Computer Science

Relevant certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-303 / 304, MCSE, MCITP)

Experience with Linux (SUSE, RedHat, CentOS)

Familiarity with SEIM tools, backups, and monitoring tools

Understanding of NIST 800-53 rev 4 or other security frameworks
