ICU RN Job Details

Job Title : ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment

Location : Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158 (Wisconsin healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 2, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Unit : ICU (First Floor)

Patient Population : Adults, Geriatrics

Orientation : 8 hours

Compensation

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1980 - $2030

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Wisconsin or Compact RN license (required at submission)

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be in hand at submission)

Strong CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills

Travel nurse experience required

Epic charting experience preferred

Must provide 2 supervisor references within 1 year, including one from the most recent / current assignment

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)

Ability to float to IMCU (stepdown) as needed

Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU

Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced interventions, including CRRT, ventilator management, and titration of cardiac / vasoactive drips

Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion / removal, arterial line management, and central line care

Interpret arterial blood gases, dysrhythmias, and manage multisystem organ dysfunction / failure

Administer blood products, emergency medications, and provide post-cardiac and neuro-surgical care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Float to IMCU (stepdown) unit as needed

Document patient care accurately using Epic (preferred)

Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions

Participate in rapid response and code situations as required
