Emergency Department Registered Nurse Job Summary

• Provides direct and indirect care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department using the nursing process for assessment, planning, and implementation. Ensures safe, high-quality, age-appropriate care through critical thinking and effective delegation. Maintains accurate, timely documentation, and collaborates with the healthcare team while following organizational and regulatory policies.

Emergency Department Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred.
• Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
• Certification in specialty is preferred; other as noted below for specific units as indicated within 1 year of hire: ACLS and PALS required

Emergency Department Registered Nurse Benefits

• Self-insured organization holding annual deductibles as low as $250 (single) and $500 (family). Once these yearly deductibles are met, all services are covered at 100%! Our client also has great retirement/pension benefits. If you put in 3% of your wages after a year of service and 1000 hours worked, you'd be eligible for an additional 3% and match 1.5% of your contributions for a total of 7.5%.
