System Engineer

  • Location : Houston, TX 77012 (1 client site - 5 days a week)
  • Compensation : $85K to 95K
  • Industry : Managed Service Provider (MSP)

What You’ll Do :

  • Own deployments for Microsoft infrastructure : Windows Server, Office 365, Azure
  • Implement and support virtualized environments : VMware and / or Hyper-V
  • Lead modernization efforts by designing tailored infrastructure solutions
  • Serve as Tier 3 support, mentoring L1 / L2 engineers and troubleshooting advanced issues
  • Perform firewall configurations and contribute to network security improvements
  • Partner directly with clients to assess needs and implement smart, scalable IT strategies

    • What You’ll Bring :

  • 5+ years of hands-on IT engineering experience
  • 2+ years of MSP experience required — this is non-negotiable
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Windows Server (2012–2022)
  • Strong skills in VMware or Hyper-V virtualization
  • Working knowledge of firewall deployment, security best practices, and root-cause analysis
  • Microsoft Intune experience
