LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse Job Summary The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Key Responsibilities Providing care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process. Demonstrating critical thinking skills and scientific judgment. Anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care. Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegating patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available. Providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Required Qualifications Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (American Heart Association). Must have 2 years recent Tele/LTAC experience in a hospital setting. Must have Texas RN or multi-state RN license. Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer.
