Entry-Level Material Planner (Master Prod Scheduling)

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Material Planner (Master Prod Scheduling) to join our team in Smithfield PA!

The Master Prod Scheduler maintains synchronization of the supply chain between international or domestic organizations customers and suppliers by utilizing Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems to support global markets. Analyzes material requirements to determine appropriate attributes to drive accurate demand through the supply chain. Establishes order policies. Creates orders to satisfy demand requirements supporting the supply chain. Develops and controls inventory plans and integrates company customer and supplier capabilities to optimize inventory levels turn rates and unit cost while ensuring accurate requirements and delivery schedules. Schedules requirements by analyzing available resources and manages shop capacity to support on time delivery. Introduces new SCM tools and techniques by working with complex processes and organizational relationships to improve the supply chain.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following :

Assists in incorporating change and planning decisions.

Learns Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies.

Learns how to analyze material requirements.

Assists in incorporating schedules into a production plan.

Assists in maintaining part number attributes.

Reviews material planning system output.

Assists in releasing and maintaining orders.

Assists in coordinating with suppliers and customers.

Assists in performing inventory and materials management processes.

Dispositions excess and obsolete inventories.

Assists in maintaining schedules for products and services.

Supports the implementation of process improvements.

Work under close supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

Experience Inventory Management.

Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

Bachelors degree or higher.

Experience with (MRP) Material Requirements Planning.

Experience with Costpoint ERP Manufacturing Software.
