Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist (Travel)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform advanced diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures. This role is responsible for producing high-quality images and accurate measurements to support cardiologists in making timely and precise diagnoses. The technologist will also provide immediate communication of critical findings and assist physicians during complex cardiac procedures across multiple care settings, including the OR, hybrid lab, cath lab, and cardiac diagnostic areas.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced adult and / or pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures, including :
Transthoracic Echo (TTE)
Transesophageal Echo (TEE)
Stress Echocardiography
Peripheral vascular studies (arterials, renals, transcranial Doppler)
Assist physicians during complex interventional and surgical procedures, including :
TAVR / SAVR
ECMO
Impella
Mitral Clip
Watchman
Tandem Heart
Lariat procedures
Pseudoaneurysm compression
Review patient history and relevant clinical data prior to procedures
Operate ultrasound equipment and ancillary devices to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Communicate abnormal or critical findings promptly to cardiologists and clinical staff
Accurately document procedures, findings, and charges in departmental systems and patient charts
Maintain compliance with departmental, hospital, and accreditation standards
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum + years of cardiac ultrasound experience
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Experience with advanced cardiac procedures and devices
Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare staff
Education
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical or Cardiac Ultrasound program (preferred)
Certifications & Licensure
Required (one of the following) :
RDCS or RVT – ARDMS
RCS or RVS – CCI
BLS certification
