Assist with gowning, gloving, draping, and maintaining a sterile field. Setup the operating room for various procedures and ensure all equipment is functioning. Assist surgeons as the Second Assistant when necessary. Transport patients and equipment, and maintain specialty carts for operations. Demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate care requirements during procedures. Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association is required within 6 months unless exempted. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required. No prior experience is necessary. Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to lift and carry objects between 20 to 50 lbs. Capability to perform under stress in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE.

We are excited to invite you to be a part of our esteemed Operating Room team. Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center is Wisconsin's largest hospital with a renowned 24 / 7 on-site heart-care team. We pride ourselves on providing innovative care in a compassionate environment.
Schedule / Hours : Full-time evening shift, with 8 or 10-hour shifts. Your schedule may include Mon-Fri, with call responsibilities primarily during overnight hours and occasional weekend call in an 8-week scheduling window. Call hours may vary.
