Data Prep Technician

We are hiring a  Data Preparation Technician I to support our high-tech manufacturing process in Allen, Texas. In this role, you will help prepare and review customer design files to ensure they are accurate and ready for production. You’ll follow established procedures, work with technical systems, and learn tools such as basic UNIX commands, data workflows, and industry-specific software.

This is an entry-level, hands-on position that is perfect for someone who enjoys computers, problem-solving, and learning new technology. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team and build valuable skills that can grow into a long-term technical career.

Location : Allen Texas (US). This is an on-site position, and we are not open to remote candidates currently.

Shift :   Wednesday – Saturday : 6am – 4pm, with flexibility as needed

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, prepare and process customer design files for mask writing, ensuring data accuracy and completeness using approved software and procedures.
• Follow documented procedures for standard job setups, retrofits, and data conversions.
• Verify and enter customer specifications and requirements in the manufacturing execution system.
• Learn and develop technical knowledge of UNIX commands, data systems, and photomask preparation tools.
• Investigate and resolve data-related discrepancies to ensure production accuracy.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and complete documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
• Organize and manage digital files to ensure efficient workflows and data integrity.
• Adhere to data security, and confidentiality requirements.
• Participate in on-the-job training to develop knowledge of company processes, software systems, and photomask terminology.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
