Teacher (Blind / Deaf).

Job Duties

Provides comprehensive standards based instruction to students who are deaf / hard of hearing; responsibilities include assessing and documenting students' communication skills, reading / math skills, independent living skills, and educational / behavioral development; identifying appropriate individualized educational goals; developing and implementing instructional lesson plans; maintaining documentation of student progress; and utilizing appropriate instructional techniques based on individual student needs.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain Georgia Teacher Certification in the area of Deaf / Hard of Hearing students

Salary / Benefits :

Paid on the Georgia Teacher Salary Schedule based on teaching certification and creditable years of experience. This is a 10-month position paid on a 12-month basis. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance; annual / sick leave; and Teachers' Retirement or Employees' Retirement.
