Mechanical Design Engineer

MUST HAVE MINIMUM 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE DESIGNING CUSTOM AUTOMATION FOR CONSIDERATION

The Mechanical Design Engineer role involves the design, detailing, documentation, and commissioning of custom machinery, along with mentoring new designers. The responsibilities include maintaining project schedules and budgets, adhering to company design standards, and meeting customer specifications. Summary of Essential Job Functions :

• Mentor new designers in SolidWorks and machine design practices.
• Produce quality designs within set schedules and budgets.
• Provide necessary support documents to the controls department.
• Adhere to OSHA, ANSI, customer, and company standards.
• Perform calculations and analyze customer prints.
• Develop concept drawings and comprehensive documentation.
• Select materials and components meeting specifications.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Assist in design reviews and prepare documentation.
• Support mechanical commissioning efforts.
• Travel as needed for sales and project support.
• Conduct FEA analysis to ensure system reliability.
