Security Officer - Armed Patrol Logistics

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Logistics in Berkeley, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine armed patrols, helping to deter security-related incidents, and remaining highly visible on site. You will engage with staff and visitors, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly to address concerns as they arise. Pay Rate : $22.95 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Monday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Friday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Saturday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sunday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and loading / unloading zones to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other security-related issues.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities encountered during patrols according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel, providing assistance and guidance as needed while maintaining a visible security-related presence.
  • Perform security-related inspections of equipment, gates, doors, and fences to verify they are secure and report any irregularities.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • Baton Certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
