- Be part of an exceptional team that provides quality care in a fast-growing practice in Virginia Beach. Coastal Hearing & Balance Solutions is an independent practice owned by one of our audiologists. We currently have 5 full time employees (2 AuD, 1 AA, 1 AIB tech/FOS, and 1 FOM).
- We are seeking a full-time provider who would work at both our Audiology and ENT offices on a rotating schedule.
Responsibilities:
Our main clinic provides full-service audiology with hearing aid fitting and dispensing. Diagnostic Audiology includes Adult and Pediatric Hearing Evaluations, Auditory Processing Evaluations, Tinnitus Evaluations, OAE, Rotary Chair, VNG, ABR, VEMP, and Ecog (training is available if you are not comfortable with any of these). The Audiologists manage the balance program protocol from the American Institute of Balance.

Requirements:
As an audiologist, we expect you to be able to do the following:
- Interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs
- Recommend and fit hearing aids or other assistive listening devices
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families on hearing loss management strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology
Skills
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Strong anatomy and physiology knowledge related to the auditory system
- Proficiency in medical imaging used for diagnosing hearing disorders
- Familiarity with maintaining a sterile environment during procedures
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using specialized equipment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to audiology
