Site Design Lead Engineer

The Site Design Lead Engineer is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of civil engineering design for utility-scale renewable energy projects, specifically battery storage. This role provides technical direction, coordination, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget. The individual leads and mentors the design team, defines project scope, tasks, and resource needs, and collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful execution. Additional responsibilities include supporting project proposals, managing project budgets and invoicing under a Project Manager's guidance, maintaining client communication, identifying additional scope opportunities, contributing to business development efforts, and upholding strict QA / QC standards to ensure high-quality project outcomes. Experience with county and state permitting processes preferred.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-8 years of experience within the A&E industry
• EIT certification
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Ability to manage schedules, resources, and multiple priorities effectively
