Assistant Superintendent- Manhattan Co-op (Upper West Side)

The Endicott Apartments Corporation, a landmarked 144 Unit, Upper West Side Pre-War Co-Op building is seeking an experienced full time Handyman / Assistant Superintendent.

Job Responsibilities

Efficiently manage and respond to all building work orders and tenant requests for repairs in a timely and professional manner using Building Link. Ensure that all building work is adequately tracked and monitored through these systems.

Daily inspection, monitoring and maintenance of building systems including but not limited to boilers, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.

Assist building porters on a daily basis with the maintenance and upkeep of exterior and interior building common areas and trash handling and recycling.

Highly skilled in 1) diagnosis of potential problems that may arise in the physical plant and 2) implementation of proactive and cost effective solutions that offer minimal disruption to residents.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

Extensive technical background (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair) and direct experience in the diagnosis, monitoring and maintenance of different residential apartments and overall building systems.

Direct experience and understanding in the diagnosis, repair, servicing, and maintenance of kitchen appliances, plumbing and bathroom fixtures, trash compactors, and HVAC systems.

Experience using Building Link and Key Link to track building activity and develop management reports on staff utilizations and tenant interactions.

Experience

Ideal candidate will have previous experience as Handyman at a Co-Op / Condo, luxury rental building or commercial office building.

References from relevant previous employers will be sought.
