Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing several production areas to ensure alignment with plant-wide objectives in safety, quality, efficiency, and team development. Acting as a bridge between frontline supervisors and senior plant leadership, this role drives operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cross-functional coordination. The Supervisor provides guidance, mentorship, and performance support to supervisors and indirectly to production staff, with a strong focus on cultivating talent and maintaining a culture of safety and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support workforce planning and succession strategies to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to enhance team capabilities.
- Promote a positive, inclusive work environment that reflects company values and encourages associate engagement.
- Lead efforts to maintain a proactive safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety, food safety, and environmental standards.
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a secure work environment.
- Stay informed on regulatory updates and ensure team compliance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety protocols, including HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation standards.
- Establish and uphold quality benchmarks through SOPs and team training.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, including audits and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other relevant standards.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement solutions to minimize waste and risk.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of manufacturing experience and 2-4 years of supervisory experience.Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.Experience with lean manufacturing, ERP systems, and root cause analysis.Solid understanding of quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
