Description :

This position is for a busy Sterile Processing department that supports a variety of surgical services.

The department covers General, GYN, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Open Hearts, Laparoscopic, Urology, Orthopedic, Neuro Spine, and Organ Procurement.

The ideal candidate must perform sterilization, assembly, and storage of medical supplies and equipment.

Candidates are expected to maintain recommended standards for instrument assembly, decontamination, inspection, and sterilization.

The ability to follow written instructions and communicate effectively is essential.

Daily operations will include maintaining workflow and providing superior customer service.

Work may involve collaboration with peri-operative nursing staff to ensure timely provision of sterile instrument sets and equipment.

The position involves handling various sterilization and decontamination equipment.

Candidates should have experience in the use of flexible cystoscopes, steam sterilizers, and ultrasonic washers.

A bioburden error rate of 0.1% or less on a monthly basis and a tray average of 20 per day is expected.

There is a need for flexibility in schedule including weekends and holidays.

Compliance with all health and safety standards is required to ensure a safe working environment.
