We're seeking a Commissioning Agent in Washington, DC to provide third-party commissioning services for commercial buildings.
Impact
• Ensure building performance through comprehensive commissioning
• Protect owner investment through quality verification
• Support energy efficiency through functional testing
• Enable long-term operation through proper training
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement commissioning plans for MEP systems
• Review design documents for constructability and performance
• Witness factory testing and startup of major equipment
• Develop and execute functional performance test procedures
• Review and approve O&M documentation and submittals
• Conduct systems integration testing
• Provide training to building operators and facility staff
• Prepare commissioning reports and documentation
Requirements
Must-Haves
• 7+ years of commissioning or MEP engineering experience
• CxA, LEED CxA, or BCxP certification
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, controls, and electrical systems
• Experience with ASHRAE Guideline 0 and 1
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Nice-to-Haves
• PE or Professional Engineer license
• LEED AP or other sustainability credentials
• Experience with measurement and verification
• Knowledge of energy modeling and analysis
