Charge Nurse

This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems, and is expected to deliver competent patient care to a full patient assignment. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's polices.

This position requires :

• A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred;
• B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN);
• C) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below);

D) experience to correlate with Clinical Ladder level; and

E) for Home Health positions, a valid California Drivers License (CDL) and automobile liability insurance coverage (CAR INS) with minimum limits as required by state law.

Bilingual skills desirable.

Life Support Certifications Required :

4) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months : Cardiac Cath Lab, Recovery Room / PACU, and Sedation
