Staff Accountant (Manufacturing)

Work for a Middlesex County New Jersey area building materials company.

Staff Accountant :

As Staff Accountant you will be responsible for :

Complete daily cash logs

Process daily bank account funding

Process daily Borrowing Base A / R roll forward

Maintain capital / expense project request forms which include review of requirements status of reports tracking approvals determination of capital versus expense categories

Maintain fixed asset records in a timely manner including proper useful life fixed asset record details

Prepare and maintain capital and operating lease file for additions terminations and renewals

Prepare analysis of selected balance sheet and expense accounts

Prepare journal entries for corrections / recurring accruals

Prepare monthly and quarterly sales representative commissions and incentives

Prepare multi-state Sales & Use tax returns

Provide support for Senior Accountants for balance sheet analysis

Reconcile intercompany and related party accounts monthly

Provide backup for Scrap Billing invoices Design Group billing A / R Adjustments

Prepare audit backup documents

Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.

5 years or more relevant experience in a mid-sized manufacturing company or division of a large corporation

Excellent communication skills are required to interact with upper management to promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others and to respond to common inquiries from customers on most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Advanced proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook

Proficiency and working experience with ERP systems Basic Accounting software systems; experience with Vantage a plus.
