Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter and American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher to support a K-12 school in Yorktown, VA. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in facilitating munication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students through proficient sign language skills and educational expertise.

Key Qualifications :

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience interpreting in a K-12 educational setting
• Teaching experience in ASL is highly desirable
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families
• Understanding of instructional techniques for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
