Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position with night shifts and the ability to float to Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with a patient census of 12

Required patient ratio of 1 : 3 in the NICU

Night shift schedule consisting of four 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Float to Pediatrics and stable post-partum couplet care may be expected

Every other weekend shifts are required

EPIC charting system used; prior EPIC experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities include caring for neonatal ICU patients and floating to Pediatrics as needed

Orientation and modules provided for float departments

RTO (requested time off) is restricted to a maximum of 7 days for a 13-week assignment

Annual modules required and completed during orientation

Modules completed within first 8 hours of orientation are non-billable

Assignments cancelled with less than 14 days' notice may result in being added to the system DNR list

Requirements

Active OR RN license in hand; pending license considered on a case by case basis

Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required

BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred

First-time travelers considered if they have NICU IV or 3 years of experience

No local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted (proof of address required)

Must provide 2 recent professional references, including 1 manager reference from within the past year
