Must meet CLIA requirements for high-complexity testing. Minimum 2 years of Blood Bank experience . Generalist experience with strong competency in Blood Bank. Experience with Cerner LIS . Strong problem-solving skills and high accuracy. Comfort working independently during night hours. TB : Required Flu & Hep B : Offered (declination accepted) Color Vision Screening : Not required Resume Official transcripts Stable night shift (3x12) schedule Busy Blood Bank setting with strong learning exposure Potential conversion to permanent role based on performance Supportive team environment

Medical Lab Scientist II – Blood Bank (Night Shift)
Location : Jacksonville, FL 322
Schedule : Full-Time | 3x12s | Fri–Sun, 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM
Contract Length : 181 Days (Contract-to-Hire Potential)
Pay Rate : $30–$38 / hr (based on experience)
Start Date : ASAP
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Medical Lab Scientist II with strong Blood Bank experience to support a busy night-shift clinical laboratory. Role involves blood product assignments, emergency releases, and MTP support during peak evening hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex Blood Bank testing and analysis.
- Assign blood products and support emergency release / MTP processes.
- Work independently in a fast-paced night shift environment.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and internal quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments for patient care needs.
