[job_card.job_description]3+ years of experience as an SRE, DevOps, reliability, infrastructure, or platform engineer Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret or higher required; TS / SCI preferred) U.S. Citizenship required Experience working toward ATO / authorization in federal, DoD, or IC environments preferred Experience supporting deployments in GovCloud, C2S / C2E, or IL-enclave environments Deep experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and serverless architectures Proficiency in Python and Terraform (or similar IaC tooling) Strong understanding of networking : VPNs, NLB / ALBs, HTTPS, TLS, VPC peering, and CDN integration Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field TS / SCI Clearance Experience with Intune and Autopilot (co-management scenarios) Familiarity with reporting tools like SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI ITIL Foundation or Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102) Salary : $160,000 - $200,000 Comprehensive Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave, and Paid Holidays Wellness perks; unlimited PTO with required 15 days off; most US federal holidays observed
Site Reliability Engineer
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a mission-critical program supporting secure, highly available cloud infrastructure in federal environments. This role focuses on automation, compliance, and operational excellence for deployments in AWS GovCloud and AWS C2E. This position will be hybrid in Los Angeles, CA!
Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer include :
- Incident management and participation in a 24 / 7 on-call rotation
- Architect, automate, test, deploy, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud and AWS C2E
- Ensure adherence to SOC2, NIST 800-171, and FedRAMP Moderate controls while supporting cleared environments
- Define best practices for availability, latency, and performance across all services
- Manage deployment and ongoing maintenance of systems at government sites
- Build automation using Python and Terraform to reduce manual intervention
- Implement CI / CD pipelines for reliable delivery of containerized workloads
- Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
- Implement serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda
- Configure secure networking including VPNs, ALB / NLB, HTTPS / TLS, VPC peering, and CDN integration
