Job Title: Resource Teacher - Middle School & Intermediate

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Position Type: Full-time

Hourly Rate: $43.00 - $50.00/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resource Teacher to support students in middle school and intermediate grades. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and collaborate with general education teachers to ensure students with diverse learning needs receive appropriate academic support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and support inclusion.

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred).

• Experience working with students in grades 5-8.

• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with co-teaching and inclusive classroom models.

• Familiarity with assistive technology and differentiated instruction.

• Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
