Our oil and gas client seeking a Senior Software Developer with experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This role requires strong backend and frontend development skills, with a focus on data-driven applications that integrate spatial and operational data. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on developer who can collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain applications that support GIS and midstream business processes
- Work with spatial and non-spatial data to build reliable, high-performance systems
- Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and data integrations
- Build and maintain web-based applications using JavaScript and modern frameworks
- Collaborate with GIS analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and data issues
- Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation
