The Zimmerman School of Advertising & Mass Communicationsat the University of South Florida invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Instruction a nine-month full-time continuing non-tenure earning position with a start date of August 7 2026. Salary is negotiable.

Responsibilities

We seek an innovative professional who would teach a variety of video production courses such as electronic field production Adobe for video and audio production and direction documentary film and video for advertising and promotions. Opportunities could include teaching in virtual production.

We seek someone with a forward-looking perspective who is committed to staying up to speed on the consistently evolving nature of the video production industry.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications : Masters degree from an accredited institution in video production film broadcast news mass communications or related field and professional experience and expertise in video production and editing are required. Applicants must submit a video reel.

Preferred Qualifications : Preference will be given to applicants with experience with mirrorless / DSLR / Cinema cameras proficiency with video editing software and at least two years experience teaching university undergraduates.
