Job Description

Company Overview :

Founded as an orphanage in 1831, Rising Ground has been at the forefront of addressing and evolving community needs. Our core belief is that every individual has the potential to thrive when given hope and opportunity. As an organization, we are deeply committed to providing trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and healing-centered services that honor the dignity and experiences of those we serve. Each year, we positively impact over 25,000 children, adults, and families through our 50 programs across 70 locations in New York City and Westchester.

Our commitment to trauma informed practice, social justice and restorative justice is not just reflected in the work we do with individuals and families but also in our dedication to addressing the systemic inequities that perpetuate harm. Through our programs, we advocate for justice, equity, and healing for marginalized communities that have historically been underserved. We foster an inclusive environment where all staff and clients are supported, respected, and empowered to rise above adversity. Rising Ground’s holistic and trauma-responsive services reflect our ongoing mission to challenge oppression, reduce harm, and create lasting positive change in the lives of those we serve. Our strong dedication to anti-oppressive practice extends to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the communities we support, where each team member is a valued contributor in the pursuit of equity and healing. Our staff reflect the diversity of the communities we serve, and our passion for equity drives all aspects of our work.
