ICFR / SOX Tester - Business Assurance

Job Description :

The Business Assurance team is seeking an experienced ICFR (SOX) Tester to support the documentation and testing of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) controls through the end of Q1 2026 The role will primarily focus on Process-Level Controls (PLCs), with some exposure to Entity-Level Controls (ELCs) and IT General Controls (ITGCs) as needed

Responsibilities include :

• Document ICFR controls in alignment with SOX and COSO standards
• Perform walkthroughs with control owners to validate design and operating effectiveness
• Execute interim and year-end control testing, including sample selection and evidence review
• Prepare and maintain detailed workpapers that meet internal and external audit standards
• Support remediation testing for identified control deficiencies
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and management to ensure timely completion of testing activities
• Assist with process updates and continuous improvement initiatives across the ICFR program
• Qualifications :
• 5+ years of experience performing SOX / ICFR testing, preferably within a public company or Big 4 / internal audit environment
• Strong understanding of COSO framework, risk and control concepts, and testing methodologies
• Experience using AuditBoard, Workiva, or similar GRC platforms is preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CIA, or CISA preferred)
