Billing Specialist - Legal Billing / E-Billing / Aderant

Location : Los Angeles, Orange County, or New York (Hybrid)

Pay : $60,000 - $95,000 per year

Schedule : Hybrid (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)

Our client, a prestigious law and consulting firm with a commitment to diversity and excellence, is seeking a Billing Specialist to join their team. This role is critical for processing a large volume of bills accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with client guidelines and internal policies. You will be part of a dynamic team in a supportive, hybrid work environment.

They are looking for you, an experienced Billing Specialist with legal billing expertise, to handle complex billing processes and communicate effectively with professionals across the firm.

What you get to do :

Accurately process 300-500 invoices per month, including complex bills with split-party billing and discounts.

Ensure billing is compliant with professional instructions and client guidelines.

Review and edit pre-bills, solve billing issues, and communicate with billing professionals and clients.

Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure timely cost capture and troubleshoot payment problems with Collections.

Assist with special billing projects as needed.

What you need to succeed :

Minimum of 2 years of legal billing experience, including e-billing.

Proficiency in billing systems like Aderant (Elite experience may be considered).

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
