We administrate databases for a multi?site high availability SOC?2 SaaS system running 24 / 7 / 365 that securely stores and processes large, frequently changing datasets including PHI and PII. Responsibilities :

• Support day?to?day operations and management of over 50 enterprise?level production database instances in development, testing, staging and 24 / 7 / 365 production environments
• Manage the backup and recovery program including performing manual as well as scheduled / automated backups and restores of production and non?production databases.
• Conduct routine index and statistics maintenance
• Ensure high levels of data availability and database performance
• Troubleshoot and remediate incidents, sharing in on?call rotations
• Install, configure, update and migrate SQL Server Instances, both standalone and as part of an AG
• Monitor, tune and optimize performance at the server, instance, database and object level including execution plan analysis and optimization.
• Monitor, tune and optimize storage.
• Continuously improve processes and procedures
• Automate administrative processes
