SUMMARY: Early Education Coordinator is a NET Treatment Services, Inc., contract position within the 2-year William Penn Foundation Grant responsible delivering services to kinship caregivers and their children (ages 0-8) in alignment with the goals of the grant-funded Kinship Family Caregiver Support Initiative. The Early Education Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting kinship caregivers raising children ages 0-8. Utilizing Tools of Mind, Incredible Years and Ready Rosie, the Early Education Coordinator support children and their kinship parents through bimonthly education sessions.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Facilitate bi-monthly (every other month) group classes for kinship caregivers and children, using the Incredible Years, ReadyRosie, and Tools of the Mind models.
- Classes must support both the caregiver and the child, using age-appropriate activities, interactive components, and family-focused strategies.
- On alternate months (when no class is held), Contractor will:
- Develop a class agenda
- Create supporting materials and content tailored to the next training session
- Be available to facilitate classes on evenings and/or weekends as scheduled by the Agency.
- Each class shall be a minimum of 2 hours, with a maximum total commitment of 10 hours per month.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with families and young children, ideally in education
- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and family systems.
- Familiarity with kinship care dynamics and the unique needs of kinship families preferred.
- Experience with the Early Childhood education, and Utilizing Tools of Mind, Incredible Years or Ready Rosie models or other structured early education programs is a plus; training will be provided.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a class room
- Comfort with documentation and using electronic data systems.
- Access to reliable transportation and flexibility for trainings/classes occurring on the evening/weekend hours.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to recognize and prioritize workload to ensure all deadlines are met.
