Mechanical Engineer

We are currently looking for Mechanical Engineers for full time, direct hire roles in the Greater Worcester area.  Successful candidate will have experience performing utility and building mechanical system and equipment infrastructure assessments and overseeing the design and replacement / upgrade of mechanical equipment and systems. Candidate will also perform project management responsibilities for mechanical system upgrade efforts while assuring that project energy performance complies with the energy conservation and reduction goals.

Minimum Qualifications :

EDUCATION : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar related technology field.

EXPERIENCE : Three (3) years of experience including design, commissioning, and testing of mechanical infrastructure is required. Experience should be in performing similar duties with complex mechanical utility and building systems. Position requires experience in the design of building and infrastructure mechanical systems, including chillers, boilers, pumps, air handling units, fan coil units, chilled and heating water, steam, DX air conditioning, domestic water and specialty plumbing systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES : Must have demonstrated ability to devise innovative solutions to problems. Must have knowledge and experience designing, constructing and commissioning mechanical systems. Must be knowledgeable about building automation systems and be capable of writing sequences of operation for mechanical systems, and be knowledgeable of building, mechanical and energy codes, products and current best practices for mechanical systems. Must have the ability to use computers and be adept at using AutoCAD, energy modelling, word-processing and spreadsheet software.
