Project Scheduler
Project Scheduler is responsible for creating, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure the timely delivery of projects. This role involves coordinating with project teams, analyzing progress, and identifying potential delays or risks. The Project Scheduler ensures that all scheduling activities align with project goals, resource availability, and stakeholder expectations. Essential duties include developing comprehensive project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent software. The Project Scheduler defines task durations, dependencies, and milestones based on project scope and deliverables. Regular updates are made to reflect changes in project scope, timelines, or resources. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders is essential to gather inputs for schedule creation. Communication of schedule status, progress, and changes to team members and leadership is crucial. The Project Scheduler ensures alignment of schedules with resource availability and project priorities. Tracking project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying variances and potential delays, and preparing and distributing regular reports are key responsibilities. The Project Scheduler recommends corrective actions to mitigate risks and keep the project on track. Scheduling risks and conflicts are identified and solutions are proposed to minimize impact on project timelines. "What-if" scenario analysis is performed to assess potential changes in the schedule. Insights into resource allocation and potential bottlenecks are provided. Best practices and standards for the organization are developed and implemented. Contribution to the improvement of project management processes and tools is expected. Staying updated on industry trends and scheduling technologies to enhance efficiency is required. Travel to any job site as needed could include the need to drive a vehicle, fly in a commercial airplane, ride a train, taxi, etc. This position requires the ability to travel nationally or internationally for extended periods of time (weeks, months or years). Regular attendance at work is an essential duty. Other tasks as assigned.
