About The Position

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Physician Assistant for a 24-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This opportunity begins on Nov 5, 2025, with 24 / 7 call coverage and 7a-7a shifts. The ideal candidate will assist in vein harvesting, provide clinic and inpatient rounding, and work alongside a CT surgeon in the CVOR as First Assist.

  • Schedule : 24 / 7 call coverage, 7a-7a shifts

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide 24 / 7 call coverage as part of the cardiovascular and thoracic team
  • See patients in the clinic setting
  • Round on inpatients
  • Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with the CT surgeon
  • Perform vein harvesting during procedures and function as First Assist

    • Additional Information

  • Must hold a current Virginia license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Required board certifications : Cardiac Surgery Certification - Adult (CSC) and Cardiology
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR preferred
  • Must have experience in vein harvesting
