Location : Fremont, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Qualifications

  • BSME / MSME
  • 10+ years in mechanical engineering, including 4+ years in leadership or management
  • Experience leading teams in sheet metal, plastics, and electro-mechanical product development
  • Strong knowledge of high-volume manufacturing (stamping, casting, injection molding, electro-mechanical assembly)
  • Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks), PDM systems, and simulation tools (FEA, thermal, fatigue)
  • Expertise in DFM / DFA, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and reliability engineering
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and supplier partnerships
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to drive cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of mechanical engineers across multiple disciplines
  • Oversee design and development of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and cost targets through CAD / FEA and validation methods
  • Champion DFM / DFA best practices to support scalable, high-volume production
  • Partner with suppliers and tooling partners to validate designs and optimize processes
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for manufacturing and field issues
  • Define priorities, allocate resources, and manage engineering budgets to meet schedule and cost goals
